Even if people didnt catch the "slump" people at least felt it through those who got hit by it, the course itself felt as if it shifted, im sure the tutors have heard enough about this "new lab" but socially this lab stinks.
I really would love to get that old work regime back......the gang of us that would always be in, workin together, playing together and working some more, but the way things are it just isnt going to happen!
As Mike said, its almost as if people have fallen out, we havent, or have we?
Have people woke up slightly, realised the idea that we are all in competition, and seen that although we are friends the fight for jobs has already started?
Im sure it isnt but without the work ethic in the labs like last year it only leaves that competition side in the light, ist sad really, it was awesome, i sympathise with the first years, maybe thats why the year seems disjointed, if the rock solid foundations we made with each other crumbled, how can a group....how can a huge group pull together to fight this industry we call GAME ART?

yeah man, the GROUP is actually i think one of the main factors in learning this stuff, without it people arnt constantly in the loop of a certain topic, things get missed or forgotten, people loose intrest and replace it with other things.
without your friends your nothing.(this is true for me at least)
so yeah the first years are funked lol
nice post phil,
the only knowledge of last year's group dynamics i have is from my bro and he said how cool it used to be.....
But this new lab is still new and everybody was too busy flapping about thier assessments to be able to socailise properly.
So i think everything will be ok eventually.
If not i'll take some game art students at gun point till we get some stockholm syndrome on the go.
